In the aftermath of Stoneman Parker, consequences for those who could’ve helped but didn’t.

“……an 18-year veteran of the department, arrived at the school
three and a half minutes after Nikolas Cruz began shooting. With 17 people
already shot and 17 more already dead, Eason instead spent two minutes
driving to the opposite side of campus to put on his bulletproof vest and
fidgeting with his body camera……Capt. Jan Jordan resigned and Sgt. Brian Miller was
placed on restricted duty for the department’s failure to respond properly
to the Parkland shooting.

Four Stoneman Douglas employees – assistant principals Jeff Morford, Winfred
Porter Jr., and Denise Reed and security specialist Kelvin Greenleaf – were
reassigned pending investigations last week.

School resource officer Scot Peterson, who took cover outside the school
until the shooting was over, resigned in disgrace………”
