Online Doctoral Program Approved
June 14th, 2017FIRST ONLINE PHD PROGRAM
This Spring, the Chancellor’s Council on Graduate Studies has approved our Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction: Special Education program to be offered in an online format. This is the first online doctoral education degree program in the state.
Dr. Laurie Dinnebeil, department chair, states: “This program represents an effort to find ways to meet the needs of the field by incorporating an innovative way to provide opportunities for advanced graduate study to special educators in Ohio and the rest of the country.” The online degree extends the College’s history with providing advanced learning. The first doctoral program at The University of Toledo began in 1960 and was in the field of education. The Judith Herb College of Education is proud of our legacy of learning.
