Congratulations to Dr. Lynne Hamer from Educational Foundations and Leadership, Dr. Lisa Kovach from Educational Foundations and Leadership, and Dr. Rebecca Schneider from Curriculum and Instruction for their participation in the UT Leadership Institute for the 2018-2019 class.  The program, launched by President Sharon Gabor and Provost Andrew Hsu in 2016, is to provide professional development to help prepare future academic leaders.  Drs. Hamer and Schneider are members of the third cohort of 22 faculty members chosen.

Susan Parks and her students have been recognized by Valerie Dreier, Principal of Old Orchard Elementary School, for their important literacy work and help with the 3rdGrade Reading Guarantee. Each student works one-on-one with a student on their reading proficiency. Considerable reading gains have been demonstrated with the students along with improvements in their academic confidence and general self-esteem. Congratulations to Susan and her students on this important academic work!
