Nigeria: In the reporting Week 17 (April 23-29, 2018) four new confirmed Lassa Fever cases with one new death.

NCDC

  • From Jan 1 to Apr 29, the NCDC has confirmed 420 Lassa fever cases, along with 106 deaths.
  • The case-fatality rate is at 25.2 %.
  • None of the new cases involved health workers.
  • 37 healthcare workers have been sickened in the outbreak.
